Thread regarding Gainwell Technologies layoffs

Tools to do one's job at Gainwell are lacking.

I believe the title says it all.

Tools implemented at Gainwell are incorrectly configured and managed. As if by someone who has never worked with or managed those tools in any other environment or with any other company other than Gainwell.

You can review or investigate those who manage the tools given to us within the past few years many have been with Gainwell for over 20 years. Which is a good indication that they have little or no real previous experience. And it absolutely shows.

Blaming a company is ridiculous. It's certain people.

@Bloomberg Law

You have definitely come to the right place. It is way past time that Gainwell got exposed for the crooks that they are and for blatantly stealing from the states by making false promises that they are not capable of delivering.

I am a recently former employee. I would gladly tell you anything that you want to know about the poor practices of Gainwell Technologies.

How would you prefer to be contacted?

@pkeh+1vvDxzqQ Bloomberg Law Firm. You have definitely come to the right place. This company is the worst company I have ever worked for. They use shady deceptive practices to gain government contracts knowing they cannot deliver on the SLA’s. They trick employees new and old into believing that they are AI. I am so happy that I am a HMS Legacy employee and the merger didn’t do much of anything. They continue to separate us. Constant turnover in upper and middle management. They outsource almost everything, use vendors and doesn’t care what the contract says they are going to do it anyway. Most times it’s not enough ppl to work a contract and then they end up losing it. I could go on and on.

Hello, we are investigative reporters for Bloomberg Law in Washington, D.C. looking at Medicaid, state contracts and fiscal agents, including Gainwell. I've been reading comments on these and other boards, and am interested in talking to people about the company, how it operates and its interactions with states and contracts.
It will be for background only, but we are looking to learn and it would be helpful to get a lot more detail.

You can check our bios and work history so you feel comfortable we actually reporters. We appreciate your help.

I agree 100%

I don’t miss anything about Gainwell. They are stealing from the states and delivering nothing. All by design. Plain and simple.

Great advice on here. Leave immediately. Don’t look back.

Gainwell itself is lacking. This company is a massive joke. The "senior" management is all incompetent human waste from the other joke companies that merged to form this one. The "product" is theft from the states, pure and simple.

With Gainwell now in my rear view mirror, I can honestly say i learned a lot, both good and bad during the time the company has been in operation. People showed their true colors under pressure, again for good and bad. I have no idea what Veritas will do with the hot mess on their hands. I am just thankful that I will not be part of any of it! Happy Holidays to all!!

Gainwell is bleeding money. They are extremely top heavy. They are poorly managed. They are at a massive risk for how they handle offboards.

Yep the best advice is to leave immediately. Don’t look back.

@Bored in Sacramento

I’ve been with Gainwell for three and a half years now. I would question whether or not you actually work for Gainwell. Or if you are an ex employee.

Why are you obsessing over some of these other posts and making claims that they don’t work here? Do you work for Gainwell? You have made just as many claims as the rest.

Relax.

As someone that has worked for a few companies during their career, and used a multitude of tools. Gainwell is the far worse when it comes to implementation and use.

People work out of emails most of the time. Either because they don't know how to work out of a ticketing system or the implementation is awful. When it comes to Gainwell, it is both.

Again, research those who manage or over the tools in question and you will see that most have been with Gainwell most of their careers for 20+ years. So they lack the experience needed in order to understand the difference between good and bad implementations. They get a new toy and try to wing it. The people that suffer are the poor souls that have to use what is forced upon them.

Gainwell can't even get ServiceNow to work correctly. They are incapable of doing anything right.

Why would you even come back to this site if you don't even work here. Proves my point a lot of these posts are mis-information from past employee's. Do us all a favor and stay out of here and get on with your life. In response to the "Tools" topic. I would have to agree that GW spends a lot of money on tools to cover thousands of workstations and servers and it's constantly changing. Some of these tools are outsourced to 3rd parties which I'm sure are charging GW a huge administrative fee.

I agree. It’s the only advice worth giving to a Gainwell employee.

Leave

Don’t look back

Some good advice on another thread.

The best advice for any Gainwell employee is -

Leave the company ASAP.

Stop looking at this site.

Don’t look back.

Meh

Why stay working at Gainwell then?

You all should be leaving in droves. They should have a hard time finding people to work for them.

I left about 6 months ago. Wow. Night and day difference. I can honestly say that Gainwell is a dump. It is operated by inept people. The leaders have no clue. They are so top heavy it is amazing. The only reason they keep operating is that the government red tape to remove them from the states they rip off is too much.

Get out of that place. The grass is so much greener.

ever wondered why over and over we keep coming back to the fact that people that have been around since forever have no other reference other than this company?

they don't know any better because among other reasons, they have not been exposed to anything else.

so sad to see people that think that time alone, constitutes expertise.

doing the same thing all your life without advancing your career is not "knowledge", is not "expertise"... its mediocrity, plain and simple.

all you lifers are happy in your mediocrity. go see the shawshank redemption movie, and when they explain what being "institutionalized" is, go look at yourselves in the mirror.
