QR = Quality Resource group. They predominately study global impacts of eternal factors that influence product quality from production to design philosophy points of view. They also do simulation analysis running through many cross functional variable studies to better understand how certain aspects of the above factors can affect overall quality. That's a high level definition, but there are many other aspects that are also studied.
Knowing this, and yet you still hired in. Hmmmm
