Thread regarding Cisco Systems Inc. layoffs

Make it make sense

This leadership keeps rewarding bureaucratic people instead of people who do the work that matters and actually bring in profit for the company. Why can't they realize that the more people who are more concerned with red tape than anything else they promote, the harder it becomes for the rest of us to do our jobs?

The country has voted for red tape over blue tape.

Cisco stopped innovating years ago and switched to bureacrats and managers to bring in the money through relentless optimisation of metrics.

because these people that are managers are their friends and previous boss, and you are not..I have my director who hired a manager that was his previous boss, and that is the end of the team... the previous boss was close to retirement and older than my director, has about 3 years to go before reaching 62, after 6 months, he removed entire team under him, replaced them with more offshore team. The entire situation become funny is that after we exited for about 2 years, the director went on to become VP of oracle and his previous boss went with him..

the entire project fails and of course, Cisco dissolved entire service.
