Anyone else feel d-mb, discouraged, or embarrassed working here?
How is lower management handling things?
Nothing adds up about this place and the demoralizing interactions are truly bizarre.

How many times do we hear "just put your head down and get through it". I don't want to pay a personal price to a company that threatens to lay me off every year. Why do I have to assume they pain they caused themselves?
Looks like nothing has changed since the Big Klown days. Except that Intel is the big clown of the chips industry. Not even in the top 10 semiconductor companies by market value.
I agree with poster that said
“Personally I couldn’t care less about that stuff”
Intel has been a great company to work for and perhaps it’s not that anymore but my years behind me are way way more then the years in front of me. Everyone’s situations are different and I do understand the discouragement, I see it and hear it and sometimes it can be noise that’s hard to block out but you really have to or it will drag you down. Like the OP said nothing adds up right now and Management has done nothing to ease people minds but then again they are in the same boat that others are. I do hope for all those that are riding this out it works out for you in the long run and hopefully the coming years will be better.
People like @OP who make such posts are usually the lower grades who do 1 or 2 things at a time and love to complain about everything. You get paid for what you bring to the table. If you think you'll get more elsewhere i don't think anyone is stopping you
Why don't you guys look for others jobs for a few months? See what you can get, how much you would be offered elsewhere? Once you go through the experience the ISP'd are doing now, you may think differently.
If you hate it that bad just quit. Take your talents elsewhere. It’s not good for you or the company to stay if you are miserable.
…but there is not much to do… I’m working in HR in Ireland… we discuss and do ppt…we process CPM and do some ER… even after layoffs we are totally over staffed… great WLB… I don’t care that we are on titanic, we are not going to drown for next 5 years…. Then I will retire… happy days
Yes. It is no longer prestigious to work for Intel. It’s done a hard 180 turn and very much looked down upon. Before the general public did not realize this but cats out of the bag. Everyone knows now. We are on same level as Globalfoundries which is absolute bottom.
I am in the same boat as the person going heads down. Never had any expectations in the first place that Intel would value me or innovate in any truly exciting way, so bar was low to start. But... what gets me is the people who continue to fight over territory on a sinking ship, making my job miserable in the process. Just, why? Intel messed with their heads that much that that's literally the only thing they know how to do.
Personally I couldn’t care less about that stuff. I’m at a point in my life where I have kids to put through college and retirement is within sight. I just keep my head down, do my work and keep hope the company will be around long enough that I don’t need to go looking for a job.
Stay in your lane!
