Thread regarding PepsiCo Inc. (Pepsi) layoffs

As this thing gets run down to nothing what happens next?

How I am understanding the layoffs is we are losing market share across all markets.

Rather than try and fix it since it’s a brand problem gut the field and have the brand teams drive share.

If it doesn’t work you will still expand your profit margin even if the field misses the plan they were given.

Stock goes up and figure it out later

What's has Jane done since she arrived to PepsiCo from Mars? She can't get even one brand right.

15yrs of gutting the marketing teams and resources and suddenly leadership is completely baffled as to why there’s a brand problem and what to do about it

@hqf+1vqHYYRA completely agreed.
cutting costs without growth and manipulating the stock price using buybacks. cannibalism can only so far. they decimated entire workforce who was capable of growing the company from the grassroots. leaders who knew the market and how to project to new areas left. All because of the fiefdom from the top. Ramon, Ram, Athina all must be FIRED. We probably are better of with a ChatGPT instead of Athina - it has some IQ

The focus is on Pepsi Zero instead paying attention to everything else. Ever when a big contract and the first you get asked about (or scolded) is if you got Pepsi Zero.

Sectors are cutting back on budgets not even offsetting inflation. The little resources made available by layoffs are burned by Ramon with stock buybacks to prop up the price and S&T, their tech and leadership is cash intensive and not very effective, look how many new SVP roles Athina has created.

Brand equity continues diminish not being capable to flank agains private label, also tech is failing, and in two years PEC will be out. if we make it, there will be a rebuild from the ground up. lets hope we fail quickly to begin a new chapter.

They are crippling us. The way things are setup is not sustainable by any means and there is no hope that things will change. We need new leadership at the very top. Ramon, Ram, Athena need to be FIRED!!
