Thread regarding Avaya layoffs

Sneaky Tactics.

As we started the new year at Avaya, we were all told that we were going to be focusing on Named Accounts only, whereas before we had the entire territory.

We were asked to call out the most important accounts in our territory so they could named to the AM, to ensure the AM did not lose them.

Fast forward 4 weeks, and it appears that was just a trick to get all of us on the chopping block to identify the top accounts that needed attention after the axe drops. All in an attempt to pacify those top customers, who will for sure protest the change in representation they have entrusted their businesses with for decades.

Pretty much the entire marketing department was let go, top performing sales reps, and engineers.

This is a tactic to polish the tu-d.
Make the company lean, so it looks super profitable, and it 's ready for sale.

Innovation without disruption...what a bunch of cr-p. If these id--ts ever implemented any of their so called solutions then they would know that nothing is easy with Avaya. The tech is lacking, there aren't enough good people left and the sales team are not up to it...selling cr-p they know is sub par.

I warned y’all in a now deleted post… scrubbing top accounts to prepare for a mass chop. Gather all intel from all personnel and drop the hammer. The writing was on the walls. For two months I’ve been hunting between all that craziness and now I can dedicate full time to my next journey. Bye Felecia.

I can't count the number of times someone on this site has mooned for Avaya to be sold. What no one ever writes (with any insight) is under what circumstances anyone would ever buy Avaya. All I see are big names thrown out like Microsoft or Salesforce. It's a dream. Avaya has nothing of value except laggards too slow to leave who can be milked for maintenance fees or scraps of third-party app revenues (i.e. RingCentral, Zoom).
