Business trips open things up for infidelity too! Cisco should fire anyone using these trips to party!
You can and will get a PiP for not doing “other activities as assigned” by your leadership. The PiP will stand and you will lose your job. HR will back the manager. Legal will have all the docs that you failed your PIP …
He had me right up until the night club, IE strip club part. As a leader, you just can’t take that chance if you want to keep your job. It’s not the 1990’s anymore, especially at an ultra liberal company like Cisco.
Sounds like he had a cushy job. Has made millions off SEs backs while all he does is wine and dine. I’d want that job back too.
He's at Arista now, much better off.
A lot of juicy Vegas details are missing…
Document everything! I been forwarding anything that can be used as evidence to my personal email. Anything to fight being laid off illegally! So when HR takes over my account they can see what they’re in for.
I’m going to sue Cisco for a damn pension if they lay my a-s off! Fu-k Cisco! These c suite fu--s are going to pay up!
I know a guy who sued Cisco after he was let go for poor perfomance (and openly philandering on the job). He declined a 200k severance. They paid out but he lied in his legal documents and was actually a convicted felon. I don't think they ever found out that he lied (perjury is huge if you are caught guys and Cisco will go after you if found - looks bad).
Don't sue. And if you do, don't lie.
The truth to this story can go either way - his way or the company's way. It will be difficult for a former employee to battle a behemoth like Cisco, especially if he did break the Employee Code of Business Conduct. I'm surprised he wants his job back, especially since he feels he was wrongfully terminated, but if it's just his word against company's, he won't win the suit.
