I am curious how much all of them are providing in terms of input for cuts? who has the most say and are layoffs typically driven by the cfo and the need to cut spend etc.

FLM ‘s are given a number. They submit a list and rank people to play 4D chess with. FLM ultimately decides who gets the axe. Not based on savings , performance or age but based on who they like.
Probably just the $ amount and maybe headcount. Not who in particular. They don't know a G11 or even PEs/ Directors. That's the individual management chain
