Few people still want to work here. Talent is walking out the door faster than ever. Even the new, young hires quickly realize they made a mistake when they joined Medtronic and don’t hesitate to find somewhere that appreciates their skills and offers them room to grow. I don’t even get why we still bother with layoffs. The turnover is so high, it feels like we’re doing it ourselves.

It's truly insane. Most of the veterans are vocally interested in retirement. The young hires have the advantage of not recognizing the mismanagement, but are untrained and then thrown to the wolves. All the mid career folks quickly recognize the breadth and depth of the chaos, experience deep regret, but hang on for the sake of feeding their families. There are not enough people, and we are throwing away good employees. And meanwhile, there are duplicated titles for senior directors, Pre-VP's, VP's, Senior VP's, Extra senior VP's, all of whom are completely disconnected from the products and provide zero value or communication.
The executives need to be let go
I agree, at my campus we have a lot of 27+ yrs old s with master degrees, My guess is they with stick around for 3 yrs max. Make a decent salary. Get a nice resume line item and move on to greener pastures once they figure out MDT is a dead end. IMHO
Thank the board! Geoff deserves another 30% raise for pleasuring the shareholders.
