PFAS Interviews on TV

Not sure what brought these out of the woodwork now, but the news just shared depositions by 3M executives, researchers, etc. from 2017... Terrible look for 3M. Detrimental. Thought this was a closed deal, why bring these out now? What's the future with this for 3M?

Varys?

And will go on for a very, very long time. There's still lawsuits being filed because of asbestos.

Since I was asked for:

I don't think this is new information. Minnesota already clearly knows as does US EPA. Any lawyers out there suing 3M already know, as they surely requested or subpoenaed these depositions from Minnesota.

Why the news story now? I don't know. Maybe that TV station just now got the videos from Minnesota?

Do I think PFAS is fully settled for 3M? Not a chance in he-l. Several other US states and a few foreign countries are still going to take their money out of 3M. If Minnesota has already gotten roughly $1B out of 3M, add in at least two countries in Europe and probably 10 more US states that are likely to get similar amounts each.

Add on legal fees and smaller settlements and my wild guess at total liability is around $15B before it is all over.
