NY Post - Shari Redstone borrowed $200 million from David Ellison in cash crunch .. let's see how much longer skydance merger lasts after large shareholder groups complain about her self dealing agenda

Meanwhile CBS continues superfluous spending like the Think Tank " Columbia Hub" at Columbia University which supports 30 programs, educators, pays to bring in speakers etc

National Amusements just got slammed for violation New York Shield Act - 84k employees (23,000) in New York State) had personal data stolen & company didn't tell employees for a year - so don't think WARN rules scare Paramount Global. Employee driver's license, social security, financial accounts, health accounts information etc. were stolen. Paramount Global parent company doesn't care about YOU..

Skydance has itself been losing since 2021. Read the trade papers. Billionaires are no saving grace. Billionaires got us into this problem in the first place. Ellison isn't here to save you - he's here to save himself - loss of jobs is more money in his pocket . The redstones put money in their pocket by merge with CBS, break up with cbs, merge with CBS. Then things went nosedive for Redstones with Shari in charge

On top of seeking removal of WCBS-TV license - Trump also suing CBS for $10 Billion
Also just sued NY Times for $10 Billion. He's not playing games

" FEW " layoffs happened nov 12 " they laid off THE WHOLE dept " ??? Wtf ? What does that mean??? Who are these people posting here? What dept? Which company ? What location ? How many exactly ??? What a bunch of nuts. Btw - CBS Evening News started on or about Dec 6th - it would be typical for Norah O'Donnell to exit on an anniversary date. So I don't know what the heck Nov 11th is all about - but my guess is that layoffs in news would be 2nd week in December - which would also fall in line with companies typically laying off workers before Xmas. And fools out there don't even mention WARN - the company & any company doesn't give a darn about warn penalties. WARN, you people are a joke

All the talk from Skydance is improving the company with tech and AI. Skydance itself doesn’t barely make a profit or have many employees, so all this tells me is that they’ll want to fire as many people as possible and replace them with software solutions wherever they can. Just because the dad has lots of money doesn’t mean he’s d-mb enough to finance Paramount employee salaries. They’ll spend money for sports and theatrical + Taylor but nothing else. Good luck to everyone. Sadly this is the pattern for all of entertainment

Nov 11th should be interesting ? Well it's come & gone - pray tell what was supposed to happen ???
*All these posts take weird tangents . Especially when people talk in tongues like jargon specific to their own field which they assume everyone can interpret.. speak in code, use initials, talk inside baseball etc. those are the weirdos

Trump loyalty to Skydance is like saying Trump is loyal to FOX News

Whoever thinks Trump connection to Ellison helps Paramount Global should Google search " Media M&A uptick unlikely under Trump "

Earth to know-it-all, skydance interested in Paramount assets NOT CBS. Skydance isn't going to be run by Larry Ellison - exactly... And skydance merger lawsuits from various shareholders will possibly ki-l the merger anyway. Trump pulling license before final merger would make a nice discount to skydance which paramount global would be responsible for. Business is business - since when does Donald Trump have any loyalty to anybody???

The new owners dad is buddies with Trump. No one is going to bother CBS.

Whoever felt it necessary to get technical with the Trump v. CBS license achieved nothing by posting a needless clarification. First of all virtually all CBS News is synonymous with the Broadcast Center at WCBS in NYC. If WCBS-TV license gets pulled - along go all the news shows from West 57th that air on the 0&0's and affiliates ( cbs evening news returning to NYC at any moment) . Suffice to say - whatever damage is done in NYC will be a domino effect. Don't distract from the real issue

RE: CBS license

CBS doesn't have nor need a license. The local affiliates do. Maybe stay in your lane.

That former employee apparently tried to confront Norah O'Donnell in last year election coverage & spilled beans on issues in front of her staff & security ( which they had to report allegations to Paramount Global) which eventually has caused her & some staff to leave, close down dc bureau etc. shook up 60 minutes too - got bill owens demoted to CBS evening news

There's one former CBS employee everybody in NYC has been talking about that has had a huge impact on layoffs over the last few years. They supposedly were the catalyst for the Peter Dunn - David Friend investigation post Les Moonves which led to many people including top brass getting thrown out. Supposedly still on path of destruction exposing top news talent for poor standards & practices on their social media that platforms. May be involved in exposing 60 Minutes Kamala Harris interview manipulation to Trump Campaign so the rumor goes

I don't what predictions have to do with anything. Still - looks like Trump is going to pull CBS license because of the 60 Minutes trickery with Harris. So cbs could be wiped out with hundreds or thousands out of work thanks to manipulating interviews on the need to favor political candidates

The question was about layoff prediction in 2025 - nothing to do with what percentage of said layoffs remain. 2025 will bring devastating layoffs from skydance merger is my prediction. Skydance will continue to cut because of Viacom continuous debt of $20 Billion of its own that was brought into merger with cbs. TV & film revenue continue to fall according to this weeks 3Q report

They say they’re done with like 90% of layoffs so how much could the last 10% be?

Well known fact that Norah O'Donnell is out at Evening News & Network News in DC will be shut down because it's back in NYC so figure whoever doesn't return to NYC is out of a job. Which is A lot of people. Should be some time after the election

30 - 40 - 50 years with little vacation. When they finally do leave they croak within a year. Live to work types instead of work to live

Re: employees 30,40,50+ years: well known fact that people at CBS News go years without talking vacations because they're afraid that people who fill-in for them will do a better job & replace them. True

Think of all the employees at these companies with over 30 & 40 & 50 years that never get laid off, never get salary cuts, never take buyouts & never retire - that can be easily replaced by anyone making half as much. Greedy mothers
