Thread regarding 3M layoffs

SHUT THE DOOR

Has BB been given an ultimatum, everyone BkTO, is ok for about 50% of employees , too many divisions have been run ragged and now EO has made a mess of Inventory , there is still agro to come from that even after Christmas, there are many many problems that new SVP'S and other high end legends cannot sort as they are finding their sub-ordinates are actually seeing sense now and only counting the beans they need to count. Good luck to the company and I hope you do the right thing and shut up shop in the next 36 months.

He's trying, but it turns out old people who don't have anything to offer besides having been here for decades are happy to come back to the office and just BS by the water cooler.

So instead, the younger, hungrier, smarter talent is leaving, and what we have left are a bunch of overpaid, underqualified old-timers who insist on doing things the way they remember from decades ago, because why bother keeping up with the times when you can just coast into the sunset and then collect an outsized pension?

BB should eliminate all the employees age 45 to 54 and 11 months on pension plan 1 and 2. Then reverse the accruals for their retiree medical which they won't get because they left before 55 and pocket all the unvested RSUs. This will all drop to the bottom line and save hundreds of millions in pension. I am sure HR can find a way to let these people go in small groups, so they won't get sued for age discrimination.
