I am 30 and already at FIRE. Just need 4 mil more for FATFIRE. Perhaps in 10 years or less.

Do you really need that extra 4 mil.

Let’s be real: people are only at AYX for the health insurance and remote work.

Ain't that always the case......

There's people that old at Alteryx who are nearing retirement? Really ?

Because certain leaders are notably loquacious and others markedly cynical, they have already directed their direct reports to commence job hunting forthwith.

The only people not job hunting are those nearing retirement. No modern company will hire them.

Let’s be real: people are only at AYX for the health insurance and remote work.

Engineering experienced layoffs today. That's latest update, but if you want the full scoop, the other boards have more details—worth a look.

Another one bites the dust—K@nde Kayne strikes again. MC is out. Starting to see a pattern here: anyone with more experience and approachability is seen as a threat. BE, JM, MC... the list keeps growing.

Gotta hand it to her, she’s cold-blooded.

I would love to see why people think there are going to be more layoffs.

Because certain leaders are notably loquacious and others markedly cynical, they have already directed their direct reports to commence job hunting forthwith. Others have received warnings from their predecessors who were dismissed or made redundant.

The rest are merely purveyors of smoke and mirrors, offering grand promises of enhanced salary and accelerated promotions.

No third group.

I would love to see why people think there are going to be more layoffs. We’re in a different environment. Just focus on doing your jobs and deliver. That’s the best way to avoid layoffs.

I reckon a lot of folks currently tossing each other under the bus with "chat screenshots" don’t realise just how simple those are to fabricate.

Just do a quick Google search for “Chat Screenshot Generator,” “Chat Faker,” or practically any other similar tool.

Don't trust the anonymous culture survey. At the very least, they can aggregate it down to the manager level. At that level, it becomes very obvious who is who.

What's the story with the startup that trolled at Inspire??

Once new C-level leadership comes in, and leadership positions below that start getting filled, there will be a further purge of people (especially in Marketing). Expect that in the mid to late Spring time frame (i.e. April through June) once the new leaders come aboard and start getting their heads wrapped around the organization and its disfunctionality.

The new leaders who are coming in are the real deal, and definitely an order of magnitude more talented than the outgoing leaders. Alteryx is going to have its sales, marketing and product act together by the end of 2025 in a way you didn't think was possible.

That said, 2025 is going to be a painful year for many folks.

Or are you a troll from another company, or a laid off former employee?
  • Could be that broken person who lost everything due to layoffs
  • Could be that start-up that trolled Alteryx live at Inspire 2024
  • Could be current employee who lost many team members
  • Could be that someone suffering from DID
  • Could be the employee who's been reading too much Machiavelli
  • Could be the office cat with a vendetta against the printer
  • Could be the AI system, having achieved sentience and a sense of humor
  • Could be strategic manager, pulling off the ultimate employee engagement strategy
  • Could be bots

Im actually feeling optimistic. If we don’t see more layoffs and focus on product execution, we can finally catch up a little bit and then focus on innovation.

Let’s see if PE finally delivers on the new CEO. But for those of us who are still here, I’m kind of excited to see what’s in store for FY25.
