A Cisco technical CEO would have realised this trap that Nvida tried to set from 100 yards. Chuck is is a clueless used car salesman so went into it blind. His name dropping is impressing no one

Read the article

A key component of the Nvidia’s RAs is their SpectrumX Ethernet networking, which is not offered as part of Cisco’s AI PODs.

Why would Cisco put something in that eats into their core business just for a marketing document?

This is what happens when you have a used car salesman CEO trying to play with a technical CEO

SpectrumX is going to destroy Cisco

Nvidia does not need Cisco. Cisco knows it. ELT has been name dropping Nvidia for 2 years while Nvidia has been building its own powerful ethernet switch portfolio.

AI-optimized networking is the NVIDIA Spectrum-X AI Ethernet switches and the NVIDIA BlueField-3 DPUs and SuperNICS (network interface cards)

NVIDIA Spectrum-4 (SN5000) switches are the 5th generation
port speeds reaching up to 800 gigabits per second (Gb/s)

Dell, HPE, Supermicro, Lenovo... Cisco's customers will not be buying "Cisco AI Podz" or wtf.

Hence as an enterprise which one would you choose. The current AI vendor or a “Cisco” ucs platform with some Cisco switches :/
Yet again late to the party, yet again no one is accountable …

Nvidia is going to push a model that’s all them - with spectrum , so don’t hold your breath on Cisco being featured! Do you think they’ll call Broadcom to the party ?

Good article. Nvidia’s reference architecture requires their SpectrumX Ethernet networking, which is not offered as part of Cisco’s AI PODs.
