UPS is leaning more on automated hubs.

Executives said on last week’s call that the closures are paying off.

UPS did not create or produce AI or robotics. They are just customers of a product someone else sells and controls which also makes them vulnerable. Too bad they did not invent AI/robotics for their own business plan years ago.

AI can work 24 hours a day. AI do not get vacations. AI don't call in sick. AI don't belong to a union. AI don't file grievances. AI don't require UPS to pay healthcare benefits. AI don't get pensions. YES, AI has it's issues, but the AI benefits outweigh the consequences. You can take a hub with 700 hourly and 400 management employees, convert it to a AI hub and only need 300 hourly and 200 management employees

Silly to count on AI and automation with all that's in the news about computer hacki-gs from around the globe. Humans are much more reliable.

More layoffs to follow. Once management has been decimated, UPS will go after the union workforce.
