Cutting the wrong people

PepsiCo keeps trimming the muscle instead of the fat every single time. It’s no surprise the company’s in worse shape than ever.

Campus Hire program is horrible, 2 years at a location promoted and the cycle starts again. New UGM has been with us 4 months and is already talking about where is his going next.

You mean we are not supposed to promote someone who was a campus hire 2-3 years ago to a level 8 or 10 position today? Or promote someone with lesser talent but checks the DEI checkboxes? Those things don't make us industry leaders but actually.make us weaker against the competition?

Those who knew in side out and brought value were let go. Instead nepotism and keeping useless people has brought this company to its knees.
No wonder why it reflects in the state of finances

I was one of the ones let go in the reorg, my manager was terrible never an advocate for me nor would they truly listen to me, rated me on personal bias instead of true performance. This manager took the advice of the bias lead on the team too which made it worse. I caught the lead in a bold face lie but didn't seem to matter because of who they are, environment was very toxic. After leaving, it was nice hearing from so many I worked with offering themselves as a reference and how wrong it was to met me go

We have so many useless management layers which always remain intact. Get rid of them for once!
