“Things could have been done by leadership to reduce the mess across the board,”
Yeah, they could have stopped all Political activism during company time and dime. The ELT has fomented organised and deliberate factionalism between employees by publically taking and funding political/ideological positions.
If you want to be an activist...go do that on your own time and keep it out of the office
Not only did they ELT pick sides, they funded them with shareholder money.
Welcome to philanthrocapitalism
We employ perm head to pretend we care about these causes, preach inclusivity and take sides, yet our own house is hardly in order....
What happened to the days of running a great business, making great products and getting paid ?
When was the last time Berkshire Hathaway jumping onto the next cause?
I find it interesting that there’s a “Connected Jewish Network” & a “Palestinian Network”, and Cisco preaches Inclusivity, but the head of the People & Communities can’t be seen w/ one group, but can the other.
You can be in my group, but not theirs.
The ELT made the mistake of increasingly wading into politics over the last several years, and taking sides in situations. Absolutely id--tic to do so — there are plenty of venues to get engaged in politics, and the workplace should not be one of those. Particularly if it is construed to have litmus test policies….which Cisco has had of late.
I’m waiting for the class action lawsuits that will go back YEARS.
