HR contact

What is the best number or email address to contact HR to report a hostile workplace? as a freelancer. We don’t get that information.

DNA ancestry site "23 and me" was supposed to keep personal information private - now nobody is safe from a takeover company using this personal information from being shared & sold and the company is recommending millions of people to delete info on their accounts before takeover (even though the info is still in 23&me databases)
So anybody thinks they're info is private & can't be shared is a fool.

CBS execs were notified about s-xual harassment - as--ult complaint against les.moonves to the LAPD - by tip from the LAPD.... So don't anybody downplay the ability of the company to find out who is making anonymous complaints... CBS VP of Security Carruthers was directly involved with corruption to protect moonves in cahoots with the LAPD. Don't think a private alertline business can't do the same types of corruption.. money talks

The company & openline absolutely has the ability to track down who you are.. openline and other companies even have a disclosure that they can or will hold people filing false claims against other employees accountable.
If you call from your smartphone they will know by caller id & voice when you call the 888 number - which is common when people want to speak to a person ( who also records your call). These companies can often say they don't record phone calls but they do ( because they're allowed to) your calling the number is automatic permission to record - because they are the second party permitting themselves to record. These companies have disclosures that fool you into thing you're not tracked or recorded. You'd be A fool to think your not recorded or tracked. These companies also typically allow the complaint to be printed - which automatically tells the system where the ip address is - so if you typically call work with your cell phone or email the company from computer - they know where you are. The phone recording at openline has the ai generated voice that the calls aren't recorded but they are. Doesn't mean they don't have a third party recorded & doesn't mean somebody from your company isn't a live party listening to your complaint. Wake up

Re: if the company retaliates it's against the law. The company doesn't care . Company doesn't care if they win or lose any complaints ( they will win most) YOU have the burden of proof, not them. You will never get your job back from a retaliation case, maybe a retaliation case. Anybody who tells you that they can't do this & can't do that is wrong. They can do this & that and either get away with it or pay A penalty of some sort. You are an at-will employee. Laws favor the company - not you

To repeat someone else's comment, HR is not your friend. I can say this because I've been there and done that. I blew the whistle and it came to nothing. Psychopaths are allowed to wander freely because the lunatics run the asylum. It's you who has to stay in your lane in this topsy-turvy world. However, if you do end up calling HR, remember to record the conversation so that you can bring that info to a lawyer if it comes to that.

Also, if they retaliate against you for a formal complaint, that is against the law.

OpenLine IS anonymous!! You have the option of not disclosing your name. The company does not have the ability (or the time)to track anonymous complaints. Get a grip!

As a freelancer you do get that information.. you're an employee. All company conduct rules apply to freelancers & contractors etc. Whoever told you that you're not supposed to get that info is a liar. Any union brother that says anything is "on a need-to-know basis" is part of the problem and a liar...

Openline is NOT entirely anonymous ... Every ip address is trackable. Some tracking can go deeper to your previous online activity when you log on.. so if you were on FB before logging into openline your identity is vulnerable. Go to a public library away from where you live & use a guest pass to use library computer . Be careful not to give too much personal or particular information or they will track you down & sc--w you. Openline DOES work for & sides with the company - don't let them fool you no matter what their disclosure says. Trust no one. Tell no one at work about your complaints either . Nobody at Para or CBS is your friend. Loose lips sink ships

Re: lawyer. If they ask for money up front - you have no case and the going rate may be $10 - $15k

You're better off getting a lawyer. And document everything.

Yes - you can be expunged from union if you complain to management about another union "brother" without complaining to the union first. Be careful when you complain to your boss - because your boss is ultimately responsible for the work environment your complaining about & you will never be called back to work. Typically you have to complain to the company - in order to give them opportunity to resolve situation - BEFORE you take legal or govt action

I’m at retirement age so I’m ready to go. The person that was left in charged after everyone was laid off has completely gone off the rails and is making life a living he-l for all the younger people that are still there. Several have left, which I think is her goal because she’s now bringing in friends to fill-in for their positions.

Contact HR? You looking to get fired? You're freelance & you're complaining - which makes you disposable... You're gonna have to document everything ( especially if you're in a one-party consent state ). Document with audio / video / pics. Make detailed emails to yourself of what is going on when they happen . After weeks or months of documentation - make anonymous complaint to employee alertline - use a public library to complain online so as not to be traced. Don't make formal complaint to your boss, make a casual discussion to boss about what's bothering you & record it. If you're union you have to complain to union first - bring it up to shop steward in Same informal discussion & record it. Complaining about another union member will get you booted out if you go to management instead of union. In online alertline - leave cryptic details of yourself that only you would know - so ultimately the company can't say you never complained
