And I feel like a ton of bricks lifted off my shoulders. I wanted to quit for a while, because Viasat proved to be the worst work experience I’ve ever had. But there was always something that made me postpone my decision. You know, like life, and bills, and bad job offers. I’m so glad they finally pushed me out.

Looks like someone got trolled to message to long replied to an obvious copy and paste post from another layoff forum lol
Don't listen to all the negativity from impotent trolls who come here to ma-------e. The company has tripped and can't get back up, while you have taken your power back and will thrust up to new heights with the opportunies ahead of you. I've never known one person who was in a dead end company who looked back from their new job and said man I should have stayed. These holidays will be a great time to relax and get reconnected with things/family that my have been negelected in feeding the Viasat black hole, then jump back in to follow the opportunities where they may lead you. Good luck, I am rooting for you!
Have you tried going to https://www.thelayoff.com/inmarsat and posting this there? Maybe they they will care more :)

Jokes on you took the vrp, got my money well you actually can get it (:
Don’t be surprise if layoffs happen AND YOU GET NOTHING!!!
It’s all your faults for staying one a sinking ship so don’t cry when they cut you with nothing to show for it!
Hows the severance?
You will do fine, and glad you have weight off shoulders. There is always a silver lining. Best of luck to you!!!
@ibi - Amen, brother/sister!
Good luck to you…and for the other commenter…the vast majority of those going, voluntarily or involuntarily, are not ‘slackers’. The former are primarily those who are sick-and-tired of tedious jobs-worth process and lack of leadership & strategy at all levels in this company. I really hope we get acquired and that the new incoming management clear out this LV dead-wood executive in short order
I hope they lay you off with minimum miserable USA severance. Whoot Whoot glory to America.
Another slacker out of here!
Glory to Viasat
Doesn’t sound like a bloke. Must be a yank.
It is actually good for you! Getting off a sinking ship sooner is way better than later. Good luck!
Good
Good luck to you! I feel the same.
