Thread regarding GlobalFoundries layoffs

No joke stock is on free fall

I along with many others own a substantial portion of gf share. Sure they were discounted but what is the plan for growth? Any insight would be great!

It’s well known in the industry they can’t. There is maybe 1 or 2 exceptions. But GF is the last stop for the bulk of them. It’s were the industry dumps it’s undesirables. if they were to move, they would have to take a significant cut and pay and downgrade in rank.

This is speculation but I feel Stone was gonna be the next CEO. After seeing the dumpster fire on how GF is tan and the SLT that TC create he was out. You get what you pay for though! Low wages equals low performers. Notice how SLT never go to other companies for upward or even a lateral move bah bah bah

I thought the stock would not see $20’s until next year. I was wrong. It will be this week.

I think the super micro news is making a lot SLT really nervous. A house cards is so fragile. They were the ones that built it though. They could have used bricks but a lot of the SLT are old and have no interest in actually doing the hard work. They will milk what ever they can and once the house starts falling apart they will scurry like rats. Leaving a red faced TC wondering what happened and C wondering why anything he is in charge of fails. He is like Charlie Brown without the charm. His SLT keeps pulling the football away!

GF manipulation of the numbers to feed the stock price is why Tim Stone left after only 2 months .

When we are the size of TSMC you won’t be joking about those 50 shares. Wait until this stock splits 3 or 4 times. With all our tech options we will be the Amazon of the semi world. TC > Bezos!

Substantial? As in 50 free shares?

The CEO will say this is a opportunity to reset. It is rare you get to make a pivot and set the table for success. Very exciting times at GF!

I sold all my stock around $60 the week I was laid off. Then took Global for just north of $55k in WARN pay, benefits and the severance check. Worked a new job while global paid me WARN money for 3 months. Say what you want about Global, but they actually will actually treat you better after you're laid off than while you're there. 😆

My advice, forget the cr-ppy stock and pray for a layoff.

Globalfoundries is simply just a horrible company. Stock price is reflecting it. Big drop coming after earnings call on 5th

Down almost 50% from last year. What is going on?

I could see 20’s easy. They have to halt the employee offering plan asap and apologize to the workers.

Never buy GF stock! GF had employees buy in the 60’s through their plan before. Correct me if I’m wrong but I pretty sure I remember that. I remember giving coworkers a puzzled look when they bought at that price.
