I have got a decent hike, but still the whole atmosphere is not very friendly. I can feel people shwoing no interest, and trying to offload work.

OP use yelp to find a hiking trail near you!
If you don't like the trail, find another one. xiden says china and russia are great this time of year.
Where did you go hiking? Doesn’t sound like a nice hiking trail…. Try wild loop trail or deer hollow if you’re based out the Bay Area. Good luck!
