Thread regarding Cisco Systems Inc. layoffs

November & LRs

Expect more LRs across the industry to begin in earnest late November. Tech will be hit tge hardest with massive LRs continuing through 2025. Cisco will be among those doing early 2025 LRs.

Layoffs are by country. Notifications have been made in EMEA and APJC. They aren’t complete yet, but they’ve definitely started.

"I cannot wait for all the under performing folks in SBG to get laid off. Many G6, G8, G10 and G11 who can be key go today"

Do not forget the underperforming SBG directors. Two examples are Dina Birrell and Tony Harrison. They should be fired with no package for causing an extremely toxic work environment.

Welcome back from your coma! We've known for months Cisco already has $200-$300M in the chamber for the next layoff. We also know from what's coming up on 24 years of history and a complete lack of contradictory evidence that once they burn through that money and its associated employees they'll be planning the next layoff.

Since so many are surprised each round, the next layoff will not be Cisco's first layoff. It will not be the tipping point that causes everyone to quit. They're (probably) not going to close RTP.

Tech and especially commoditized networking is full of sh-t. For too long, 30 years and more, people involved peddling snake oil have been paid big bucks. A correction is coming.
