Or are there any rumors to the contrary? I haven’t heard anything around here, which doesn’t have to mean anything. I certainly hope there will be no layoffs until next year. As much as I hate my job here, I still do not want to lose it.

I would wager that there will be more layoffs before the end of year. There is a quota that they set to reduce headcount by x-amount. Layoffs, I imagine, will be the remainder between their quota and the accepted VRPs.
