30+ years, recognized and respected both inside and outside of XOM, numerous awards…..my dirt bag supervisor told me that my skills were antiquated and several played dirty politics behind the scene. One day I had enough of the gaslighting and manipulation so I resigned. I’ve had no shortage of people and companies who wanted me to work for them. I kept moving forward and continuously updating my skills. Exxon’s loss and my gain. I’m happier and less stressed. Working with a great team at another company.

No one can take away your accomplishments. Exxon does not own or control your career. You do.

Spot on. That’s exactly what happened a few months after my 50th birthday: 25-year career wiped out in a single blindside (NSI) phone call.
