What is this

Traits of some of the mediocre manager at Cisco

  1. Use and throw engineers, use as much as you can
  2. Stick to the company like Oil, work so that upper management can't lay them off.
  3. Don't let engineers grow under them, they don't leave the company and they won't grow the team and engineers
  4. Thet will never apply outside due to the fear that they can be suppressed easily. They are in bad terms with many people.

Many engineers left Cisco and joined Amazon, Google, Netflix and got good growth. These managers can't work with them there and sticking to Cisco like an Oil.

Don’t ever give your directs any clear feedback. I’m exhausted hearing the same “you are doing great” and not really helping me get better or improve.

I sure hope non-Cisco employees didn’t read this thread as if they did, I’m sure they would wonder the intelligence of our staff.

Mo--n. Guess you don't have the intelligence to join them based on the rambling. I'm hoping you aren't here on an H1B but if so the post gives a good reason why we need to revamp the visa program. We are not getting top notch people in most cases, just cheaper.
