One more round of layoffs, and we’ll have very few, if any, people left that we can rely on.

CVE Executives are insecure and don’t listen to VP’s or Directors. I was hired in a senior role and watched as the Exec team only implemented their own ideas. I quickly left after watching the incompetence first hand. They only want yes-men and women, so those that stay just get paid well to agree and fall in line. Real talent leaves. Jon has no idea what’s going on.
Cenovus will always be on the bottom of the peer pile. It’s so bad it will become a case study taught in business school one day.
Yup, hire useless regional directors who somehow create full field development plans out of thin air without talking to a single geologist or reservoir engineer, and lay-off 20 year Geo technologists who have created more value in a month than these useless “yes men” have created in a year! Well done CDU! How has this had a positive impact on our G&A? When is the “Conventional News Drop” going to highlight the value of the “3 wise men”? I mean the “3 useless yes men”. At least they have the right personality traits! I had hope, but what a complete joke!
CVE decided several years ago that G&A was more important than good, experienced people. Employees with 10+ years of experience are viewed as a burden rather than an asset.
Or trust! The company morale is the worst! They thrive on the values but no one from the top lives them. Transparency - there is none. Bureaucracy - more than ever! It's disgraceful how they say one thing but do the complete and utter opposite!
