How do you use your T2G days? Are you really doing something good or do you see it as additional PTO? What are your experiences and how do you handle the communication with your manager?

I second the post below - this benefit is one of the things that makes me proud to work with Cisco - and lately there haven't been enough of those.
But at least I can say - we help people all over the world with a ton of non-profit work. My coworkers share pictures of their help, and I share mine.
It's a beautiful thing that we get the opportunity to give back. We should all honor that time.
With the new VTO policy why are you even considering faking time with a charity? Just be honest so they don’t micromanage this important benefit. I’ve used it for stuff for my kids at their school and volunteered with my local metro area colleagues. Don’t abuse it!
To be honest with how broad the rules are, if you ask this kind of question you should not be employed anymore. Already it is for charity in a broad definition so there must be something you can find that suits you. Then asking if people break it….
Our team puts together team building Time2Give events. Helped a habitat for humanity once which was pretty fun.
Time2give is helpful for church events, giving back to the community, kiddo coaching events or field trips, working with a local non-profit - lots of options. If you haven't helped out an old folks home or a food bank - I highly recommend. Gives you a different perspective on the blessings in your life.
Just upload them in workday, same as any other time off.
Defrauding charity takes a special type of person
Are you seriously asking this stoopid question?
