Any insight to the supposed promotion/raises freeze we all keep hearing about?

Been told for over a year there is a freeze on promotions
There is more money outside the gate. I got 15% but lost the free circus tickets. 🤣🤣🤣
I was to be submitted for a promotion this year and about the time I would have been submitted, he was told promotions were on hold. Coincidentally, two days later I had an interview and a week later an offer for a number more than 30% of what I was making. To this day, I don’t regret the decision. I do miss people though.
There is a freeze with the asterisk being that promotions require your ELT member to sign off on them.
How do you get an 18!?
Not a freeze on either. But you are an SGL 16-18 looking for a career here, I would seriously reconsider as it is difficult to see a forward path at this level.
I’ve been told by management the freeze is related to ongoing WEP and is expected to continue into Q1. I also have friends outside my BU who have been getting promotions during this “freeze”
There is a freeze that happens at the end of every year for like a month so payroll can finalize YE compensation and all the rating stuff in the system. There is always a freeze like that for a short period.
