And there’s no return on it whatsoever. Nobody is happy with just (maybe) keeping a job.

I wish I had more OT, I went up a salary grade and am waiting for that to kick in if at all. Making less now.
I would like to hear more details. Is OT a requirement in your department? How much OT? What is your intended career path? I’ve been in your shoes before, and finding a job where OT wasn’t required cost me $ in the short run, but it was so worth it!
