Thread regarding ExxonMobil Corp. layoffs

What is the f ing deal with people watching others and making them look bad?

I am at a new site and everyone constantly looks into the labs and offices. It is sickening how they stare and make note of what I am doing. These spies cannot pass an open door and not look in. I have started closing my office door and the lab doors because of this. Sometimes they will pass once and a few minutes pass by again as to check how long I conversate with fellow employees. They are not just watching but telling the managers and supervisors. I was told that I spent to much time talking to and employee once. I was getting trained on some equipment and we were talking about the systems at exxon. It is affecting they way I work and I purposely avoid these special people. One time I was changing my shirt and my spy looked into the cracked door to see what I was doing. They were shocked and ran off. Sick ba----ds all of them. They only target myself because there are some who play on their phone all day and nothing is said about them. It is utterly unfair about who they watch and report on. Others sleep at their desk and watch movies and shows on the phone. When you don't trust your co workers there is no reason to want to work together. It ki-ls collaboration and willingness to help out one another. WEAM is BS because of this and I don't want anything to do them. The supervisors and managers will do nothing about this because they want dirt on certain employees. The higher ups lets these practices continue as well. I was asked how some associates were doing and said I didn't know. The supervisors are always asking and looking for dirt for their corrupt ranking system. i do not feel any community or connection to any of the other workers. I just lock myself in my office avoid these people and try to do my work alone. This is what exxon has become.

It has never been so bad at the place I am in Baytown. Constant watching and timing of personnel. I have to say some employees are watched while others are not. All employees are not created equal. If you stand around for more than two minutes the timer starts. The watchers work in teams. The only place you are safe in in your office but keep the door shut as the watchers will peer in. Find a good hiding spot and escape big brother. It reminds me of the safety people sneaking around spying on us at buffalo speedway. That used to be a thing back in the day. My co worker was buster for wearing slippers in the lab. He never saw the safety person so it was a mystery how they knew.

Annandale Admiral over here - I always keep my door open and make sure to slouch in my chair and give the vibe of not giving a fug. Pre-pandemic, I'd close my door to change for the gym. But since the 'vid, I just workout at my local community center. I only close the door when I want to talk trash (which can be often with coworkers).

Trust no one, but don't let the place eat who you are.

I think they work at BTEC, baytown refining or chemical. I have noticed this at these sites. Big brother watches.
