Thread regarding PepsiCo Inc. (Pepsi) layoffs

Observations

Obviously we are not doing great. However employee engagement is at an all time low imo (been here 3 years). Sh-tty holiday party in ny yesterday that nobody went to, people being denied travel + expenses left and right for conferences and events the past 3 months. Even heard yesterday that L6 and L7s in S&T were all supposed to have a retreat in Plano but AK cancelled all of it a couple weeks before. This is corporate purgatory

As long as Ramon is at the helm the company will continue to support DEI (Divide, Exclude, & Intimidate) initiatives. The company is losing share because these ridiculous policies (as with the BS covid mandate) are costing the company money. If they replace Ramon with someone who cares more about quality versus politics then they could help build back what the company once was. They're losing good people who are customer focused and not focused on their emotional needs being met.

DEI is just a sideshow for the rubes, just like Employee Appreciation Week, PepsiCo Gives Back, etc. If it really affected the bottom line they'd drop it like a hot potato.

Focussing on DEI has been this company's top priority....and look where it's got them ?
They ran it in the ground. Company's must put the best qualified person in any given position in order to succeed. It's blatlenly obvious that's not been happening, and Now they paying the price !!!!

company isn't hitting the numbers quarter after quarter, market share is declining, people are being layed off and we're worried about a retreat in Plano ???? sounds like the Twilight Zone

It's only a matter of time before PEP axes the DEI nonsense just like Ford, Toyota, John Deere, Walmart, Lowes etc etc...

This post tells me there is still a lot of non-value add deadweight in the company. The company isn't doing well and you're focused on a retreat in Plano ??? how does that help the bottom line ? or top line ?????

The podcasts just keep the egos of underperforming leadership inflated.

@1pho+1vPkCJpE Add to that list podcasts like Future Drink Back. Not sure how spend on useless things like that is justified when company is not doing well. Whose purpose is served with such podcasts?

This post is a perfect example of what's wrong with the mindset of this company. The company isn't doing well, BUT, people still expect to be able to squander money on useless unnecessary things, like travel, conferences, events and retreats.

Doesn't surprise me about AK ki-ling the retreat, as she is also the master of ki-ling morale.
