Qualcomm's career site has 263 job listings for San Diego. Why do you stay at a cr-ppy company where you're losing all your retirement money?

It's not hard to tell the difference between companies that care about and mentor employees and those that don't. Sure, they do the intern thing, but that's where it ends.
Quietly quitting.
It’s better to get a severance package than to quit unless the new job pays a lot more, especially if you have many years at Viasat.
The people here aren’t good enough to work at Qualcomm
It's a sh** hole, but it's a paycheck!
It was all about the $1M relocation bonus. The rest is gravy. A million bucks to move to San Diego...YGTBSM
You know, I would quit but where else could I get paid $20M last year when I can barely pronounce “satellite”. So here I stay, for the (selfie) grins.
Yea. Pay is probably only good for the execs and people on the govt side.
We got HR shill here tryin' tell us the pay is good. Sure, that's why everyone at One Viasat responded with "Compensation" to all the poll questions they asked.
You don't have to put your money in VSAT stock. They stay because pay and benefits are good. Ride it out. Easier to keep doing the same grind than adapting to a new one.
I would quit too, but it’s hard to get CTO position at another place, since I can’t do math.
I’d quit but where else could I be a VP?
I just stay here for the All Hands and OneViasat events !
Hmm... previous post says "Qcom is a bit of a "boys club""
What about Viasat, is the work culture there not a tight little club, full of nepotism?
know a few people that quit on their own. whose counting?
In part because they hadn't floated RTO.
Oh, wait . . .
Qcom is a bit of a "boys club"
