Quiet reorg just snuck by under the radar. Over 100+ people in downstream marketing or GCX left standing. Many in SR but global locations also. Employees given very little notice, less than a week to ‘apply’ for new jobs, reps often didn’t even know candidates. Time from applications to notices was less than a month. Many mid level management let go. Several transition roles to train offshored roles. Open boxes all over the org chart that could have been filled. Worst is employees still made to come to the office to wait out there time. ES team looking to use this quick in and you’re out model for more reorg a to come. Get ready for the chaos. No one is safe. Competitive performance is all that matters to ELT right now.

My understanding is that left standing were offered a severance if your job did not exist in the new org. But if you were left standing b/c you declined to take a job offered, then no severance.
Are people left standing at least getting a severance? How does the move to Houston impact this. Seems odd to cut people then lose even more that don’t want to move
Pretty accurate post. Other downstream functional orgs are getting the same treatment 1Q 2025.
@xid+1vOMgPaW. -- No EOI option. If offered a job as same or 1 PSG Above, and you say no, you get nothing.

Keep it real, the holidays are a great time to be let go! Regroup and start fresh in the new year. All those complaining it's not the right time will be the same ones who will complain in January, mid year, etc... My suggestion has always been to prepare yourself always for a layoff no matter how secure you feel at your job or employer. Our expectations are always what let us down.
The Christmas Gift that keeps on giving..
Guess what kids? Santa forgot our house this year!
Gotta get those people out the door before the Holiday parties take place !
I would take the EOI today if I could
I thought they have used this playbook in Finance HR and others. Quite unfortunate before the holidays. Gotta make it fit the business plan!
They like months of stress just to remind you who is in charge
Very fast reorg and retrenchment would require highly compident managment: Never seen that in Chevron. As painful as fast action might be for those affected, it is better than our normal very long drawn out process.
Sounds great, pay me out.
sounds like fake news
