Heard from a good source the Announcement will happen at 11 today or anytime between 9-5 at a future date but good news my source said it won’t be later then 2096.

Idk if they’re waiting until earnings in January to announce. Most are expecting/hinting at an announcement within the next 2 weeks or so
That TPG article is TPG Telecom. TPG Capital is the Private Equity potentially buying Crown Fiber and SC, and is a completely different company and has no affiliation with TPG Telecom
Nothing happens this year. It’s a public ally traded company. Announcements are all around earnings. It will Be early 2025 during q4 earnings. They will announce sale and 2025 outlook with sale as part of the outlook. Enjoy the holidays and take some time off.

Regardless of all the bs, I’ve chosen to just do my job. I do it because of what it makes me feel, accomplished and building up a good reputation in the industry. No matter what company you work for, there will be problems, there will be layoffs, there may even be a hostile takeover. That’s the unfortunate reality of working in the US. So I choose to do my job well, go above and beyond, not for the folks at the top, but for me and the other members of my team that I can help. That’s just my viewpoint, as long as I get a paycheck, I keep working and doing my best. I also keep my options open just incase.
If we get laid off because of a sale to Zayo, would you foresee severance?
Staying with Crown would continue to constrain fiber, as it’s still in the buildout phase and needs a ton of Capital, which is at the behest of shareholders who expect tower like returns, even though Fiber/Small Cell is in the same phase that Tower was a couple decades ago before all the towers were built and/or bought. This would lead to more cost cutting RIFs in the future and likely another “review”.
Being sold to Zayo is 100% worst case scenario for employees. Zayo is an established fiber company with established employees, so the likelihood of mass layoffs are a lot higher assuming Zayo isn’t only buying assets, which means next to no one keeps their job.
Being sold to TPG alleviates both issues. No shareholders to deal with who expect crazy returns because of Tower, and a massive amount of capital to expand lower return builds. Additionally, they don’t have a fiber company (if they do, not nearly the size) with employees already set, so realistically everyone not a part of the June would be staying.
Can you elaborate on why that’s better
