It would be amazing to get an extra $1000+ as a Inflation Adjustment Christmas stipend. Yes inflation has slowed down but property taxes and the cost of food still has me eating Top Ramen and Pop Tarts.. Just like in college :) , and there's plenty of folks renting in part due to institutions buying up single family homes inflating their costs like crazy. "Please sir may I have some more?"

What are you even saying? !
Wait, what Covid bonus did people get?!?!
All I know of is people in some cities get parking or transportation paid if they make less than $100k.
Every year there is a ton of applause points that go unused. So yeah they could easily give everyone $1k worth of applause points as a year end “holiday” type bonus.
But they won’t… and if they did they would just take it out of whatever Raise or Bonus you’d be duein February anyway.
Either you are on some kinda special far out kinda trip… Or you just wanted to make a post to make this page alive again.
Abort. The Hen House has been compromised. Although past one off payments to EEs suggest a one off bonus is not as ridiculous as you just made it sound. I.e. random Covid bonus etc. As far as the housing crisis and the impact billionaires and Institutions are having on inflated costs , it is well documented and there are plenty of studies and articles on it. You have a better chance of meeting Abraham Lincoln.
Maybe we’ll get a 2k bonus for Presidents’ Day too.
SMDH. People these days.
