Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

Shell fired 1 in 5

A friend of mine at Shell said the layoffs are finally over (for now) but it was brutal and he lost a lot of mates.

Shell the oil and gas giant, is planning to cut down its workforce by 20%. The job cuts are anticipated to affect the oil and gas exploration staff, per a report by Reuters. The report also mentioned that the company’s exploration and development and subsurface divisions will undergo restructuring and the effect of the layoffs will be felt in Shell’s offices in Houston and The Hague. The layoffs may also affect its offices across Britain, albeit to a lower extent.

It's Filipino not Pilipino....If you're going to disparage someone on the basis of race - at least do your research white guy...

It'll be between 1-5 to 1-4. Def not 3-5, get real!

MW has always believed that expensive staff (i.e., experienced) can be replace by recent college grads, Argentinian or Pilipino staff, and now by India staff. The only exception to that is of course those on management ladder. We are witnessing the slow demise of what was once a great company.

I wish we were doing 1 in 5. I heard Chevron is doing 3 in 5, but technically won’t be layoffs, as they will be moving the jobs offshore.
