Thread regarding UPS layoffs

UPS plans massive layoff in Oklahoma City

Due to "changing business realities" in the company's network, all 304 employees working at 901 S Portland Ave. will be affected by layoffs, according to a Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) issued by UPS. A WARN notice is given to workers 60 calendar days in advance of plant closures or mass layoffs affecting 50 or more employees or 33% of staff required for employers with 100 or more employees under federal law.

A pattern is developing--- close a center and dump all employees and call it "partial/temporary" under the guise of revamping as AI/robotics updates, then call a few of the herd back a long time later making sure its long enough for the herd to have moved on to other companies. Or the pattern of offering a transfer of job on the moon with no moving expenses which no one will take.
