Thread regarding Avaya layoffs

Avaya is a horrible place to work

It feels like every day at Avaya is nothing but a reminder of how bad this place is. The constant fear of layoffs, lack of morale, and no sense of responsibility make it feel like the worst workplace imaginable. The whole atmosphere just drains you day by day.

@1wxv+1vFKTTkb - I can only speak for myself. I stayed because of the people and the tech that used to lead the way. The possibility that with them, we would eventually get a good leader and once again be the company we were for a short time. We would take our heritage and celebrate it by valuing our employees. Sadly, time and again the "new" leaders are copies of the old. The idea's and goals are not new and they do not want to hear what worked and what did not so they simply repeat the same mistakes all while making incorrect assumptions. I suspect this is due to the large egos that need to be fed.

It's funny how Alan Masarek mentions Glassdoor ratings as an indictor to how he's built a "Destination Place to Work". He doesn't mention that the current ratings include thousands of reviews with over 95% that happened before he came to Avaya. This guy is a pathological liar and con artist that lives in his own unethical, delusional bubble. He acts like he's the smartest guy in the room, but he's just a soul-less, spine-less ba----d. Truth isn't in his vocabulary.

I was working for Avaya for almost 30 years. In the last few years before I was fired I had a serious illness that left me almost in a wheelchair but I was able to return to work with a high degree of reduced mobility. 2 weeks later they fired me without giving me the opportunity or time to request early retirement with the help of Avaya due to health problems. Without the company and from unemployment, the possibility of getting early retirement in my country is very difficult. So now I'm in serious financial trouble. While they can they exploit you but when they can't they let you fall at least here in my country....

I agree, out of all the Telecom companies I have worked for installing & mastering Avaya products…Avaya is the worst! Their technology is behind the curve & management is horrible! They got rid of all the loyal talented employees while keeping the contractors & fools who helped sink this company! Avaya Red…😂😂😂! Find another telecom company, learn their equipment & forget about Avaya. They are done!

I second that; and it’s especially frustrating that the company is not paying the sales folks what they owe them on commission.
