Which comment are you referring to?

If it's anything like your most recent post, it's probably because the words don't make any sense.

Funny how the f*cking know it alls didn't chime in after my comment.

Many people are guessing in life all across their life. Nothing special, average to the core. Some people are knowing in life. Don't be a useless guesser without direction. Those their superior might address them as useless eaters.

/rabbit hole "what".

Severance is completely optional on behalf of the company, even if fired. So long as you have no malevolent activity against the company, they are just as likely to approve it, as they are to deny it. It's situational.

However, in regards to unemployment.
Getting fired due to lack of performance reviews, or laid off due to lack of work, is still being denied work outside of your own control. You aren't being laid off, fired, or outright denied work by your own actions - but rather the corporation. So long as your activity isn't ill intended unto the company, they parted ways with you for reasons not malevolent.

People need to learn their rights when it comes to unemployment. As someone that has filed more times than many people have held jobs in their career (different story - the life of a contractor), I can assure you that you won't likely be denied. And if you are, there are multiple levels of arbitration you can elevate with - and most likely win. A level 4 arbitrator is as high as you can elevate, and it's going to require some serious evidence from the company to convince them that you are found in violation and not deserving.

Most won't pursue that far, since they only pay a percentage into the insurance. There's no reason to ever really deny those that are dismissed from service, unless your actions are violent, intentional, or outright undeserving unto a company.

Unemployment can also be denied by Michigan if firing was due to performance reason and if ford rejects the unemployment claim. (In theory)

One should still apply for it however.

@1gxb, no. If you get PIPed and fired, you do not get a severance package. The reason is that you are fired, not laid off. No, you don’t get the option to retire. You are welcome to retire or quit at any time. No, you don’t get a severance package if you retire unless they happen to be offering a “special early retirement package”.

If you get pip and then fired, do they offer severance? Are you given the option to retire? Do you get severance if you elect to retire?

I can see why you are being PIPed.
