Make sure yall are doing what you're suppose to be doing on these trains. Management is saving the footage to release 100s of hours of guys sleeping, not doing roll byes, not doing paperwork to give to Congress to get 1 man crews.

Congress is sleeping!
train crews should wear big sombreros in the cab.
- You don't have to do roll byes.
- You're allowed to sleep.
- What Paperwork?
- Try again.
This is a post by a manager or someone in mgmt. scared to lose their job. There will be no one man crews no time soon. They need to focus on having efficient managers, and managers that can read past the 8th grade level. Union Pacific neck is on the line as we speak. It's a matter of time before we have a new CEO. Accidents happen because managers are bullying and pressuring employees, Union Pacific has to testify before congress on why Union Pacific is at considered the riskiest railroad. Then the Hedge funds that are invested over 1billion also have to testify before congress, on why they are hedging bets against the economy. It does not matter what these micromanagers say or do, they will be losing their jobs after peak season and Union Pacific will no longer be a to heavy company. As we speak starting today, how many managers step down, get fired, or quit. Week before thanksgiving. The most childish thing to say, look i got footage of crews sleeping, and the answer is why are they sitting in a siding or holding the main for 11 hours because you have these people who can't operate an efficient railroad. To all the managers HELP IS ON THE WAY. These managers are scared as he-l, this is too funny. You want PTC to perform a manual labor job, but they are reprogramming the PTC to make management decisions, so these people are funny as he-l, they just bought themselves out of a job. We can't even make this stuff up.
Watch the yards like West Colton and Meade yard LA Harbor and Dolores yard, ICTF. Cameras all over and guys are getting caught
Stay strong
Good luck with that! The majority of congress, as well as the STB have already denied the idea of going to one man crews. Some states even have plans in place to prohibit trains from operating in their state with only one person. Sorry but it's going to take a lot more cab cameras to change that.
I wish we could trade. Let em have one man crews on thru freight that has no, none, zero planned work. BUT(!!!!!!!)
- fully equipped utility men at least every 50 miles in clean dedicated buildings working set schedules w/ 4 overlapping shifts. Utility shifts will over lap with their predecessing and succeeding shifts the first and last 2 hours. No engineers needing help as one utility man is leaving and another is starting. Only utility men or car dept employees are to ever tie down or knock off brakes. Never is an engineer to do that.
- bring back reserve boards for every terminal to absorb traffic spikes, minimum 48hr notice to those on reserve boards.
- all unassigned trainmen are allowed to bid to new assignments to the car dept; locomotive maintenance, maintenance of way, signal dept, for those who are interested also rmcc (police) these other depts need to be fully rebuilt and restaffed. No currently active trainmen are to be furloughed. New assignments in other crafts are guaranteed at that trainman's HQ.
- Hours of service STARTS when the phone rings, that becomes when your tour of duty time starts. Rested time begins when you get home w/ an FRA app on ones phone.
@gap+1vEgVnbL you really don't think they're going to use these cameras to their advantage? How many engineers and conductors have you seen that don't try to hide their face in front of a camera while sleeping? My only thought is the gov will say, why didn't you pull them out of service.
I call bullsh-t on that one !
