Thread regarding Medtronic Inc. layoffs

Tone deaf Geoff deepens low morale

So his answer to rampant burn out is to just embrace the stress. Great reminder that this company holds zero value for any of us. You actually do matter. Do not stroke out for this place.

Geoff Martha seems to be a joke.

The sad part is Geoff will have a very nice golden parachute while the rest of us will suffer.

Gimmick after gimmick. One quarter he’s measuring r&d spend vs revenue, next he’s doing traffic lights with no amber. The goalposts will continue to move, so long as it makes Geoff look good.

Absolutely have to have goldfish-memory with Geoff.

  • operational excellence
  • free cash flow
  • Value-Based Healthcare (Omar carry-over)
  • and then every word he said during Covid

Need to start betting when Saba is gone. Other big companies are cutting her department with no push-back.

Let’s not forget: the rebranding, Medtronic Mindet, TDC model, George Floyd email, Salba, ya da ya da.

Look in the mirror. his classic deflection answer. Everyone is the problem except for him. Meanwhile turn the clock back to when he rolled out the Op Model and thats when things took a steep turn downhill.

Matt will check Glassdoor. We should put our OHS feedback there

A lot of the comments were contradictory. On one hand, there’s talk of keeping pay and benefits competitive, but on the other, there’s an emphasis on cutting costs and using AI to lower expenses and reduce burnout. How do you reconcile maintaining competitive benefits while actively cutting costs? Health insurance premiums have gone up this year, hiring and travel are frozen, and the company is missing AOP in critical areas. There are also concerns about potential supply chain disruptions due to tariffs. It feels like mass layoffs are on the horizon. Honestly, I’m not sure how the industry—or this company—can sustain itself in the current climate.

“Look in the mirror” yeah okay so it is our fault that Geoff can’t focus on the right things. Blame everyone else Geoff and avoid mirrors yourself. F off!!

Clown school won’t even take him at this point. I have no idea how he hasn’t been kicked out the door yet. He’s really surrounded himself with some real bootlickers.
