Thread regarding ExxonMobil Corp. layoffs

Exxon Union

With the recent ILA and IAM deals and strike. They are willing to strike for 35%-62% raises. Where USW got ~15% raise during 2022.

We need better collective union. It seems Xom management just laughs at us and we can't even do anything about it. Picking us one by one and replacing us with contractors

The union is not useful for getting and securing raises. They will end up getting bare minimum or get run out.

Unions could negotiate getting rid of bad employees and then they could ask for more. Instead they cost the company millions to protect the ticking time bo-b employees. Union bosses get rich. Everyone else get sc--wed

For a union move to work you need leverage. There are millions of people that would happily switch places with you.

Annadale has a union, and we are closing the site.

Let’s convince BTC to Unionize and then demand equal pay.

That Spring Campus demand for a 15% raise is equal to a complete annual salary of a BTC employee. If there was a strike by engineers in USA, EM would just sell Spring Campus and go 100% BTC.

OP, before clamoring for a union, maybe you should try to improve your writing skills. Your post contains incomplete sentences and improper punctuation. Makes me think you're not really an employee, but an outsider.

Exactly, quit being a scab. The last thing you want is be represented. Crying about a 15% raise? Try 0-10% as non represented.

The leverage conditions are a lot different for those groups. XoM will dtill find a way to run these sites without USW represented workers unless you actually get some SOLIDARITY, keep crying
