Been in a role with S&T/Legacy IT for almost 5 years. Right after this years reorg it was hll. About 3 months ago started looking for new jobs. Haven’t been doing sht bc this is just such an inefficient and nonsense structure for a tech sector. Boss is so busy that we haven’t had a connect in 3 months and keep cancelling and rescheduling. Just using this as free money and putting minimal effort into projects and still getting the same reaction from stakeholders as before. Able to have such a better balance and actually able go to my kids’ events regularly at their school for the first time in a while. If the election goes how it should then hopefully new jobs start popping up within the next 5-8 months!

This is the way. Minimum effort. They don’t care about you why should you care about them?
Try to get into Data engineering or Dps. Easy promotions there even if you do not deliver sh**. I benefited from one
Please don't put yourself in such a position that they can terminate you with cause rather than lay you off with a 5 year (10 week) severance package.
