IBM’s power strategy

This sure seems to show the Enterprise strategy merging over Z and Power NOTE the AI automation also coming to the forefront (eg AI modernizing RPG)

Don’t know if this is true or not, but several Mexican websites say IBM outsourced their storage and Power manufacturing to Foxconn. If true it should allow IBM to leverage Foxconn’s buying power while still retaining ownership

Oh there is a strategy, but it doesn’t include non-enterprise customers. They have been and will continue to be partnered off. IBM went all in on scaleout Power replacing Intel (especially for LINUX), and it’s been a disaster as the ISV’s said “no thank you and embraced Intel solutions instead” Scale out margins run at 1/3 of what enterprise margins run at, and this isn’t sustainable, when you consider IBM’s high cost overhead. The CFO’s mention on the 3rd q call of a redhat/Dell Linux partnership only reinforces how IBM is viewing scaleout HW. It doesn’t fit into the “enterprise only” go forward strategy, and we have seen how IBM deals with products that don’t fit (Palo Alto). Yep they sell them off and partner with them instead.

IBM has a strategy now ? since when ?

Alvind and his Pipmunks can't even sit the right way on a toilet seat...neither can the obese pig Kavanaugh. They have no strategy to win....it's falling apart under Mohamed Ali.
