Engineers are leaving Flash Co left, right and center. How do we stop the brain drain? What is management doing to curb this huge outflow of engineers?

how do you guys think about Alper? Intel person here. He was pretty bad at intel. We heard he was not well regarded at old SD. It is strange that he is put in charge of mem tech.
Micron pays a lot more in RSU and WD hiring priority is in India. Go figure.
seeing many experienced engineers leaving HDD side as well...
Maybe forcing out more experienced engineers, to make room for young DEI hires will scare off the next round of patent lawyers?

@1mqc+1v2NK5GU a lot of the people I know are joining Apple, Google, Nvidia, Meta, Zoox..
likely to be a right-sizing with the separation from HDD or a merger with Kioxia, now that their IPO is on hold The problem is a human one that we hang around believing we’ll make it through
Flash Management wants engineers to leave, they are moving engineering to India. Just look under Rob who the management is. They think this solves there problems. This just creates new problems, never solving anything. All the experienced people are gone or will leave.
Which companies are they joining
I came in through the Sandisk aquisition, but wasn't in California. I enjoyed my 5 years there.
Yes, I am in California. Here 300K compensation is considered middle class.
So why are you still there? Can your buddy get you a job there? I will admit, when I worked at WD the compensation was pretty decent. You must be in Cali, where the cost of just living is double/triple elsewhere.
That’s true. My colleague just increased his compensation from 210K to 450K by changing companies. While I am still here slogging my a-s for chump change.
