The only thing that keeps me with AIG has been WFH. Pay is not spectacular, job is not particularly interesting, but WFH is a great perk. I’ve always been dedicated and I always meet my targets and more. Forcing me to come back, commute for hours on end, create extra expenses - no, thank you. I would then rather go to a real office, not some improvised hub, and be paid better for what I do.

My RTO is already far more than pre covid when it was only for necessary in person meetings.
More and more companies are requiring it. Likely a way to get people to leave without severance. Just hope it is what the pre-COVID expectation was…
Get ready buddy according to the CFO it’s coming back January 1st
RTO will be used to further reduce staff. Senior management is fully aware that some employees will either leave or just refuse to RTO which could lead to termination. Under these circumstances, there will be no obligation to provide severance packages.
If you have options, leave. VERP got rid of a lot of folks with a lot of experience, more evidence of that every day as application outages increase, indecision is rampant, and mid level executives still around look for an off ramp.
