I am hearing whispers that layoffs are in the works for the end of this month. Q2 results were ugly.

They have to hire new VP's to justify the need to reduce headcount.
I took part in Voluntary Severance Program offered in Nov 2023 (to those 50+ yrs. with 10 yrs. tenure). I realized this would be followed by involuntary layoffs and sure enough that is what happened. Hertz historically lays off many in the last quarter of each year to make bottom line look good when bonuses are calculated!
Planning layoffs when they appoint a new vp every day?
I heard the layoffs were going down at the end of October not September.
Based on the pressure we are getting not surprised. Fleet getting worse no support in getting cars to support demand.
