Thread regarding Cisco Systems Inc. layoffs

Chuck’s Time to Leave is NOW!

I was at Cisco for 16 years, took the voluntary ER. I was in UC for many years and saw the demise of Nortel and Avaya. I have to admit many or right saying Cisco is starting to look very similar. Doubling down on bad decisions. Horrific at integrating acquisitions. Flat revenue even after acquiring some very large companies. BU’s fighting each other for revenue recognition. Chick has run Cisco into the ground. They need a new ELT and now!

Stock market tripled after 2016. It's not a Cisco thing. S and p is up over 300 percent. It's called deficit spending and robo speculation.

It has nothing to do with our companies performance except that we underperformed the market

The stock was stagnant for a long time under Chambers.

It climbed when Robbins took over. It seemed to me that the fresh blood revitalized the company and increased the stock price.

We seem to be stagnant again and it is hard not to imagine a new CEO could do the same thing again.

Dream on. Robbins is a self-absorbed sociopath. He ain't going anywhere and he's sinking with the ship.

Having worked with JC and met Chuck many times, its tale of two cities, while JC would talk all WV with his slang, he was a gangster and could be mean as a snake when pushed. I lost respect when I watched him say no layoffs a month before one of the largest, stared right at him , he knew I could see the lie. Chuck just looks around you , mutters something, and goes to set down. He could ball at UNC but pretty sure I could bust him up 1:1 even though his shot isnt bad. We need a CEO , not a sales bully who steered a great company into the gutter, watch Nvidia or AMD CEO , true leaders not car salesmen.

"Good for older workers, for young one yes it’s like a career su----e. You must go or jump before it crashes into ground. There is no turn about for Titanic. "

We older workers usually on the #1 spot to get cut. Not really good for older workers especially you have mouse to feed.

100 bad but some good ones,

  1. Better than industry average LR package, who care to provide you 2 + 4, it can be just 2.
  2. PTO which just gone but was good for last several years.
  3. Lousy company you know it, I know it, everybody knows it. You can still apply your green c**d ?
  4. Campus locations are good at least the one on Tasman.
  5. Free shutdown on year end, you need to use PTO last year.
  6. Good for older workers, for young one yes it’s like a career su----e. You must go or jump before it crashes into ground. There is no turn about for Titanic.

Yeah, I’m a 10 year veteran but decided to finally jump ship because I got spooked. Things feel extra spooky this year…
