Thread regarding Saudi Aramco layoffs

Purchasing this site

Apparently Aramco is trying to buy this site. Would explain why posts are being removed.

Better luck trolling next time. This site is hosting numerous forums, and most of them are ten times more active than ours. Which you would know if only you had bothered to check the homepage before making up such a ridiculous rumor.
If the site was for sale, I bet Aramco wouldn't even be the front-runner for such purchase, as every single 500 company is having troubles with info shared by their employees on these pages.

If one of your posts got deleted here or on some other social media, chances are site mods nuked it because it violated their ToS, not because Aramco is purchasing it.

Here are the the cliff-notes of the site rules here ( someone shared this recently on another forum):

  • don't swear, don't post personal insults
  • don't use identifiable info like names and addresses (no PII, you can name only public figures)
  • don't threat, don't use derogatory language towards groups
  • no racism/ethnic slurs
  • no politics, asking for votes of any kind and no advertising products/services
  • They also nix spammers and trolls.

If the rumor is correct, I could see Aramco setting up an entire department of thobes trying to bad mouth the other oil companies and then trying to tell the reader how great Aramco is. Aramco would establish KPI's, an annual and 3-year BP and some key risks associated with not maintaining the site. That would so pathetic that it would be awesome and classic!!!

There was a post here earlier that was removed but apparently there is a report circulating that was generated about this website by the Media department. Pretty pathetic that they need to issue reports about people sharing their experiences rather than fixing the problem.
