Thread regarding Pembina Pipeline Corp layoffs

Avoid Pembina

There was a time when me and co-workers could get things done and when we brought up issues it was listened to. Things felt like we were doing things together. Today? It's harder to turn a blind eye to the unethical behavior, the lying and cheating, backstabing, leaders that will say whatever the executives want to hear (out of fear, insecurity, self-promotion), shortcuts around safety and regulation to make money, and how F'd up our work has become. Pembina is rotting from the inside and anyone that's thinking of coming here should look somewhere else. This has become a pay check and nothing more.

Don't forget about the leads that have zero clue what they're doing.
Hence if someone is actually smart and knows what they're doing, they get the boot.
Only yes people left now.

Pembina pays well, that's all it matters. All people there just work for money, they don't care about anything else. If you look at number of people who want to get a job there, it's hundreds and hundreds if not more

You just have a really negative background conversation.

Bahahahahaha! As a former (thank baby Jesus it is well in my rearview mirror) Pembinonian I'm shocked that people are just realizing what a clown and pony show Pembina is. I watched so many high performers go out the door because their bosses couldn't take credit for the work they did - lots of dead in mid-flight projects, a fanatical obsession with forced social events and don't even get me started on boozy lunch.

It's the management culture of bonus-first, profit-second and everything else third. Eventually we'll have our Boeing moment and they will be exposed by the whistleblowers that have been silenced and marginalized.
